We all can have a booth at a trade show and not get great results, so its very important to plan how and why this show is going to be different.

#1 Make sure your business fits with the attendance, what percentage of the attendee could do business with you.
#2 Plan on whats going to happen at the show, have a detailed plan on how you are going handle every aspect
#3 Are you going to have a promotion to give people a incentive to do business with you.
#4 Have a list of question on how you are going to qualify the person coming to your booth, if the don't qualify how are you going to get them away from your booth, if its a busy day you only have so many minutes in a day and its important you don't waste them.
#5 Book a meeting with the prospect at the show to followup with that person to get the best results. The once you don't book a meeting with plan to followup in 48 hrs.

If you want to go the extra mile and do what most companies don't do, email them a thank note thanking them for coming to the show and stopping by your booth.

Check this out...what if you had floor graphics to put on the floor at your next trade show. There is a lot of cool things you could do with those, tell them where you are at the show, promote your booth, let them know what you are promoting at the show to list a few.

You would have to make sure you have the right floor graphic and adhesive for the floor you are applying it to and ask the show producer if it's ok to apply them to the floor.

After receiving more than 200,000 mentions in the blogosphere at other sites, the chain decide to debut its first blog at www.blog.dairyqueen.com. To get the conversation rolling, it offered gift cards to the first 250 bloggers to answer the question: "What deal would you make with us to try our new Sweet Deals Menu?"

The menu offers 20,000 combinations of food, beverages and treats at value prices. The most creative blogger will win his or her choice of a Sweet Deal for free every week for a year. DQ rep Dean Peters says the launch of the "Creating smiles and stories" blog in conjunction with a national advertising campaign was a two-pronged approach to get people talking about the menu.

The blog, in particular, "was a natural opportunity for bloggers to earn incentives to get out there and talk about the sweet deals," Peters says. "It got people to not only talk about DQ and the DQ brand, but it also was a great way to speak about our first value menu."

Illustrator CS3 is a powerful program.
1. Open an illustrator file, select type to be weathered and outline fonts: Type> Create Outlines 2. Open the brushes palate: Windows> Brushes 3. Open the Artistic Chalk Charcoal Pencil Brushes: Window> Brush Libraries> Artistic Chalk Charcoal Pencil and select the brush called Chalk; it will then show up in the brush palate.
4. Select the pen tool, draw a diagonal over the type diagonally and apply the chalk brush to your line. (Try two pixels, but depending on your area you may want to play with it).
5. With the pen tool still selected, draw another diagonal from the opposite corner (to form an X) over the type and apply the chalk brush to your line.
6. Once again, draw another line – this time horizontal, and apply the chalk.
7. Next select all three lines and make certain to stretch over type completely: Object> Expand appearance 8. Open the pathfinder palate: Windows > Pathfinder; Select all and click Merge. Finally, select just the pen strokes and go to menu Select> Same> Fill Color and then delete the selection.
