Case Study

Client: Local High School Booster Club

Event/Need: Local Booster Club needed a way to raise money to support the school athletic programs.

Customer Objective: To raise money by selling something to parents, residents and students. Wanted to come up with something new and different- not more popcorn, cookie dough, wrapping paper or trinkets.

Product Solution: Plastic booster card with free goods or discounts on purchases from local merchants.

Team members and volunteers solicit the local merchants with the opportunity to participate by providing a customized discount offer. Offers provided are for discounts, free goods, buy one get one free etc. and can be tailored to fit their business and the level of support they can afford. Discounts are imprinted on the back of the durable plastic card that fits in any wallet like a credit card or membership card. Team members sell these cards to anyone and everyone they can think of! The selling price for the card is $10.00 and teams/clubs typically purchase between 500 and 2500 cards to sell depending on their financial needs.

Results: The team easily covers the cost of the cards and the local merchants draw new customers to their business by providing the "booster discounts." Typical businesses that participate are pizza shops, hair salons, coffee houses, cleaners, florists, ice cream shops, bowling alleys and nail salons. Plastic cards are a great way to build support for any team or school club. The simple concept allows local merchants a chance to support the "home team" and moms, dads, neighbors and friends don't mind buying the booster card that provides them extra discounts with local merchants they like to do business with. It's a really simple solution.
